Book Description:
A man's Past leads to his Future......

Agent Stone of the Shadow Unit's job is simple, most days. Work in the Shadows, police his own Kind.

When an unwanted assignment turns out to be his darkest fantasy from the past, Draven can't help but be conflicted by the memories of the past and his responsibilities in the future. But his decision has been made.

The Heart of a woman is Tested........

Jes can't let the tall dark agent back into her life.
How can she trust any man after what she's endured. Years of abuse have broken her down and she doesn't have room for more. The man she turns to for help hasn't abused her physically but he's tormented her emotionally. A past betrayal left her scarred, but also brought her life.

Can she accept him into her heart and trust him again?

One will survive and adapt, the other will realize hearts can be mended even if it’s a bit too late.

The road to forgiveness sometimes only brings more pain. Unexpected events set their lives on two separate tracks leading to one outcome. Lives will be changed and an emotional battle to save their souls will leave them both trapped and enslaved in their need for one another.

Lynn’s Review:
Jesminda “Jes” Zealand is sitting at a bar wearing a bikini along with her friend Belinda “Bells” Raine Ignis.  They’re two women on vacation.  Draven is at the same bar and becomes instantly attracted to Jes.  The sexual tension is almost immediate.  As you read this book, you will notice that Draven is a take-charge kind of guy.  This is the book that gives you a lot of information as to who the people are that make up the Shadow Unit.

One night, while reading this book I happened to be watching a new CW series titled The Tomorrow People.  It was a great way to get me into Tigris’ series – a great inspiration.  It couldn’t have been planned better.  I was reading the scene where Jes meets some people from the Unit for the first time.  I could almost feel the amount of testosterone that filled that room.

This book has a lot of action in it – and the suspense is killing me.  Each sex scene is so hot that you either need to keep a fan handy or an extinguisher so that you can put the fire out.  Tirgris give’s her readers a mating scene that will just suck you in and you’ll be happy to know that our couple take their time to enjoy each other.  It’s a sensual ride that you will not want it to end.

Our author has created some characters that make me wish that I could step in their shoes for just a little while – oh the fun I could have.  And the action and suspense she creates makes for a great page-turner.  There are also a few scenes that are a little graphic – violence wise.  So it’s just a warning in case you are a little squeamish.  Cruelty besides being graphic will make you shiver – it’s needed though in order to show how evil one of the characters is.

The ending is perfect because it will lead the reader right into book two.  This is one reason that this series must be read in order.  If you were like me and read Burned in Shadows first, a lot will make sense once you read Jes and Draven’s story.  Then we can anticipate the release of her next book.  If you like romantic suspense stories with a paranormal twist, you will love Tigris Eden’s latest series.  She even has a GoodReads group: (Reviewed by Lynn Reynolds from Romance Reader Enthusiast)

Book Description:
Royce Zarides has accepted his hand dealt by fate. He's loved and left far too many women. In the bedroom that is. But one kiss from Belinda Raine Ignis was all it took for his eyes to open. Is she really the woman meant for him and his brother Ronin? Or will history only repeat itself? That's the million dollar question he doesn't want to answer.

Ronin does not believe that Belinda is for him and his brother. But one night with her isn't enough. Even when he sees her for who and what she really is, Ronin still has a hard time expressing his emotions where Belinda is concerned, and time is running out now that she's to ascend to the status of Matria of the Phoenix Enclave.

Belinda (Bells) Ignis is good at ignoring men. She's had her share of heartache. Jilted at the altar by her first love, she's sworn all men off for good. Her mother and Matria of her community has other plans in mind, as well as the Zarides brothers. When faced with the heated glances of Ronin and the smooth tongue of Royce, what's a girl to do?

The clock is ticking down for certain members of the Shadow Unit. Draven assumed dead, leaves a sour taste in every ones mouth. Jes' new found abilities make for a great addition to the team. But when things seem to settle, they only get worse, as the team sets out to discover the origins of Mr. Black and the notorious Red Sun Organization. Secrets are uncovered and deals are made that result in a deadly blow to all involved.

Lynn’s Review:
This story is told in parts.

Ronin and Royce are searching for their mate.  They are twins that are different as night and day.  Jesminda’s husband appears to be missing.  The brothers are going on a mission and have offered to train Belinda “Bells” Raine Ignis.  Mr. Black comes to the “party” to come get someone.  What an interesting way to start our story – lots of action right from the start.

Jes has some interesting changes that have taken place once she comes into contact with Mr. Black.  Can you imagine being able to have abilities that others don’t?  What special ability would you like to have and why?

Our twins aren’t the vanilla kind of guys – they like things a little more rough.  They need the right kind of woman to love.  The woman has to be able to handle not one but two men.  Bells not your ordinary woman either.  If you like tattoos, she has one that’s quite unique – I’ll let you discover what it is on your own.

Tigris puts a lot of twists and turns in this tale.  It’s almost like reading a movie – as you read, the story plays out in your mind.  It’s not a story that can be rushed.  If you try to you might miss something important.  You can’t go skipping around trying to find the sex scenes.  That’s not what’s important here.  This is the story of the Shadow Unit.  The romance is just icing on the cake – the paranormal is what carries the story here.

This is almost like getting two books for the price of one – we have two stories to read.  They interchange but you won’t be confused as to whom you’re reading about.  But I do recommend not trying to read this book first.  Jesminda’s story is told in book one and things will be a lot clearer if you read Enslaved in Shadows first.

Tigris includes a Glossary so if you have any questions about some of the things you’re reading about.  She also includes a Playlist – not too many authors do that for you so you may want to check it out.  With Halloween just around the corner, what better way for you to celebrate that holiday but with some good stories that are going to get your blood pumping.
