A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

The wrong man never felt so right...

Ex-fighter Reed Miller has been secretly lusting over his best friend’s girl for months, but he refuses to jeopardize a friendship over a woman—especially one who doesn’t like him all that much. Now that Darcy’s on the market again, it’s even more imperative to stick to his strict hands-off policy. But the sizzling attraction between them is too powerful to ignore, and once he’s had a taste of her…all bets are off.

Darcy Grant is tired of walking the straight and narrow path. She’s on the hunt for passion, and there’s no denying Reed is just the man to give it to her. Although she has no interest in dating a bad boy, and certainly not her ex’s best friend, it’s impossible not to melt beneath Reed’s skillful touch. Now it’s just a matter of setting a few ground rules—and hoping her rule-breaking, sweet-talking bad boy agrees to follow them. But if she lets Reed into her bed, does she stand a chance of keeping him out of her heart?

 Great Quotes:
“If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say 50% of the male population is all douche.”
“You don’t look me in the eye, you don’t laugh at my jokes — when I know for a fact that I am hilarious–..”

These two quotes, alone, would have made me love this book. The fact that it is also peppered with many a steamy sex scene (and we’re talking “Rose’s hand on the steamed up car window while Jack gives it to her in the back seat on the Titanic” steamy) and the characters are fresh and sexy themselves, and you’ve got a winner of a book.

Darcy and Reed are trying to fight the attraction they have for each other now that Darcy is free, and they lose this fight…. multiple times… in multiple positions and locations (I’ll say I have new ideas for my own life, and we’ll leave it at that.) I really like that Ms Kennedy didn’t have them do it within the first chapter of the book. The delayed gratification is well worth it.

She has a smooth writing style, especially in those wet-your-panties scenes that are so deliciously descriptive and vivid that you’ll.. well.. wet your panties. Maybe don’t read those scenes in public where you squirming in your seat would be very noticeable. This is another author who makes her characters real and relatable, regardless of your own realistic job, life, money situation, etc. And you have no trouble believing that you could be Darcy to Reed and just hang on for the ride.

In summation, if you want steamy sex scenes and to laugh out loud at dialogue from the heroine, you’ve come to the right book.

Check it out! It’s worth it!
