Book Description:
War has shaped every aspect of Irena Soldan’s life—her childhood, her work, her DNA. Unaware she is the genetic host of the second Seal of the Apocalypse, Irena battles for those who cannot fight for themselves as a top human-rights operative for The Omega Consortium, whose charismatic, publicity-loving boss holds a deadly personal agenda.

Chago has always been the quiet one among his warrior Scion brethren—the brooding, combat expert with a hidden soft side. A member of Divinity’s covert special forces, he’s protected humanity for more than a millennium and now his goal is retirement. In exchange for his freedom, Chago agrees to protect Irena against his ancient enemy as his final mission. Expecting a cauldron of female whoop-ass, he instead discovers a harbinger of peace amidst a world of ever-increasing violence.

Despite the cataclysmic circumstances, an undeniable attraction ignites between Chago and Irena. Together, they must unravel the ancient puzzle of the Seals and discover a way to defeat an unstoppable evil before they both become casualties of War.

Lynn’s Review:
Chago works on his Montana ranch but that’s not his only job.  And he wants to make a bargain with his boss.  Irena Soldan is part of his latest job.  She is a woman who takes no bullshit from anyone but her boss seems to be the exception.  I’m not a fan of the guy Irena works with, Drake – although isn’t that what authors want?  The reader can’t like all their characters in a story.  Otherwise, we may not continue reading it.  It also shows that the author is good at what they do.

Traci includes conversations between Irena and Chago that have double entendres that will leave you chuckling.  Our author keeps you guessing – you’re not quite sure what her characters are.  This is one reason that you keep turning the page – you want to see if you can solve the mystery.  By having her characters leave the country gives the reader an adventure.  It also adds to the suspense and then some of the scenes can get a little descriptive and just plain gross.  So if you are sensitive about certain things, you may want to read this book on an empty stomach or during the day – but not before you go to bed.

This story will keep you riveted from beginning to end.  Traci spends most of her energy on building the anticipation of why Irena is so important to the paranormal forces.  She also builds the anticipation of when our couple is going to take things to the next level – and it will be well worth the wait.  This is a great second book and just one more reason to follow this series.
