Cunning. Sex. Pure nerve. Only this unholy threesome can raise him to his rightful place as a ruler of Manhattan's kink kingdom.
Bouncing from bed to bed on the Upper East Side, Kingsley Edge is brilliant, beautiful and utterly debauched. No carnal act or chemical compound can relieve his self-destructive heartache—only Søren, the one person he loves without limit or regret. A man he can never have, but in whose hands Kingsley is reborn to attain even greater heights of sin.
Kingsley's plan to open the ultimate BDSM club—a dungeon playground for New York's A-list—becomes his obsession. His expertise in domination can't subdue the one man who wants to stop him. The enigmatic Reverend Fuller won't rest until King's dream is destroyed, and so the battle lines are set; it's one man's sacred mission against another's…

I absolutely love Tiffany Reisz’s writing and this book was no different!
I have been following the chronicles of her characters through the years and I was SO excited to read more about Kingsley and Sam. I love being able to go back in time and see different angles and perspectives on things. It takes a very talented writer to do such a thing and Ms Reisz does JUST that.
Kingsley is a complex character that most people (readers and other characters alike) take for granted and mistake him for a drunken playboy too often. This book gives the reader an inside look at his drive and what he’s been through and what pushes him to the next level. What got him to where he was when you first met him in The Siren. I think my favorite line of all time from him has to be “I could lose my watch in you.” (From The Saint).
Kingsley’s relationship with Sam is incredibly deep and emotional and you find yourself both hoping they get together and yet not, because that would be too trite, especially seeing as Sam identifies as a lesbian…. But what Tiffany Reisz does with them is SO much better than you could ever imagine.
And your heart breaks… I was reading this book and I remember I felt like crying and putting the book down because something happens that is so disheartening; so devastating that you want to curl up in a ball (or in a bottle, like Kingsley) — but it all turns out well… as it must, because, if you’ve read her other books (and you damn well should have!) you’d know some sort of outcome already.
I devour these books and as soon as my next paycheck comes around, I will be adding this to my hard copy collection of books. Because good books are worth reading and great books are worth keeping and phenomenal books are worth owning to read again and again and again, no matter where you are and what outlets you have access to.
All of Tiffany Reisz’s books are included in the “phenomenal” category. From The Siren to The Mistress, from The Saint to The King… I can’t get enough, and I absolutely cannot WAIT until The Virgin is available for me to consume.
Read them, love them and know that she will take you dark places but you’ll love them and come to crave them. And that, my friends, is true writing genius.
