Fired Up by Anne Marsh (The Hotshots, #3)
Hannah Green likes to listen to Cole Henry’s voice. Their working relationship is a little unusual. I would love a job like Hannah’s – being in the outdoors. The bad part is I’m afraid of heights.
This is a great story to start the anthology. You will also get why by the title – this is one really hot tale. The author gives the reader a story about submission and domination – and it’s so hot that I thought my e-reader was going to overheat.
Anne was a great choice to get things started. It’s explicit but nothing disgusting. There’s just the right amount to get your juices flowing. Her ending leaves you to decide if it’s HEA or HFN. I have not read the other books in her series but this novella gave me the incentive to go and buy the other two books. I’m looking forward to getting them read as soon as I can.
Sizzle by Lynn LaFleur
Maysen Halliday owns her own magazine. Clayton Spencer owns a business chain as well as a volunteer at the local firehouse. He’s also not impressed with her job.
Lynn’s story though hot, makes me think of Valentine’s Day. If Maysen needed help with her latest assignment, I would be happy to volunteer. How many of you would want to do the same? It has me wanting to see if this town actually exists – road trip! And I don’t mean bucket list – want to travel to now.
Our author writes one scene that has me feeling like a voyeur – a very sexy boudoir scene. What I love about this novella is that Maysen seems to be the one doing the chasing. She’s a woman who seems to know what she wants but that doesn’t mean she can’t feel insecure either.
I thought Anne’s book was hot but Lynn’s book was just as hot if not more. This story is graphic but you have no choice but to keep reading. You need to know – will they or won’t they. It was a great choice to put in the middle.
Five-Alarm Masquerade by Stacey Kennedy
Abby Hill comes home to a shocker. Gavin Morgan meets Abby during a low point in her life. As I read this story, I can’t picture it anywhere else but at the end – you all know the saying. This is the hottest ending to a great anthology.
Stacey has me envious of Abby’s chosen profession. It’s a place that I’ve always wanted to work but never have. If you have never read this author’s work, by the time you get to the end of this novella you will want to change that. I’m looking forward to seeing what I will read next in Stacey’s repertoire.
This book is not all about the sex but the anticipation of if and when that will have you turning the pages. I had no choice but to give it a five star rating because it couldn’t be any better than it is and it left me wanting to read more of all three authors. My hope is that you will feel the same.
