DARK DREAM
Book #7 in Dark Series
Previously in After Twilight & Dark Dreamers
She’s known him since she was fifteen. Every night, he is with her: his face, his voice. Tonight, Sara Marten will meet the man who is both angel and demon, salvation and temptation: Falcon—the Carpathian, the banished hero. Tonight, Sara will meet the dark-eyed destroyer destined to be her mate..

DARK DESCENT
Book #11 in Dark Series
Previously in The Only One
In this version of Dark Descent there is an additional hundred pages. I rewrote it from the original version as I felt it was too short. I do not plan on doing this for the other re-prints, but I hope you enjoy the newest version of Dark Descent.

In a cave of mystery and wonder deep in the Carpathian Mountains , bodyguard Joie Sanders encounters a most remarkable being. Proud, strong, immortal, he is called Traian an ageless hunter, locked in a life and death battle with enemy vampires and he will be her salvation in a labyrinth protected by the ingenious traps of a mysterious ancient race. What awaits them in the darkness is not known, and each step could be their last as their destined path leads them toward a fiery passion that will illuminate the perilous dark night.

This is actually not a new book in Christine’s Dark Series. It is actually two of her previous titles with some pages added to the second title. The first was book 11 and the second was book 7 in the series.

Dark Descent, book 11

Traian Trigovise is an ancient Carpathian who hunts the undead. The fight between good and evil is an ongoing battle. Christine starts this book off with lots of action and Traian is in the thick of things.

Joie Sanders is a bodyguard on assignment in Austria. During this assignment she has been badly hurt. But then she meets Traian. Jubal and Gabrielle are her siblings. After her recovery, the three of them are enjoying the countryside.

Christine is so descriptive of the caves where the Sanders siblings are that you almost feel like you’re there with them. But being so descriptive makes me wonder if she has ever gone spelunking herself. She also knows just how to mix the right amount of action and suspense but not losing sight of the real prize – finding a lifemate.

Our author gives her readers an alpha male that would do anything for his woman. She also shares the sadness of being an immortal and how important family is – whether a genetic family or a group that have a strong connection.

Dark Dream, book 7

The book starts off by giving the reader some history into the Dark Series. Vladimir Dubrinsky is the Prince of the Carpathians. He has called for volunteers even though he doesn’t appear to be happy about it.

Present Day:

Falcon is on his way home and comes across a group of children. And in an instant his life has changed. Family has taken on a new meaning.

Sara Marten feels that she needs to protect the children of the streets. But who will protect Sara? Then Sara meets Falcon. She feels as if she knows him yet they have never met. Have you ever had a sense of déjà vu?

Christine does a great job at knowing which two stories to be paired together. The main women characters are a perfect match for each other. They are both strong women and know how to protect themselves as well as others.

If you have read Christine’s work before, you may have already read these two. If you have not read any of her work, you may want to start with book one. Or if you wanted to, you could read this as a standalone and then go back later. You may even want to start at her web site, http://www.christinefeehan.com/index.php, to check out all the books she has written. Libraries are a good resource as well. Me personally, I have read most of the Dark Series (several times over) and I enjoyed reading these two books again. Are you a fan?  (Reviewed by Lynn from Romance Reader Enthusiast)
