This awesome meme is hosted by Shelia at Book Journey.  It’s Monday! What Are You Reading, is where blogger’s gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week.   I’ve gotten really behind with all my swap and review reading, one minute I was on top of it and the next I was not even close.  I was able to get everything read that was due today, but still have a couple to finish up by Tuesday.  So this week will be another trying to get back on track from me week.    My favorite book of the week was by far was Catching Fire. I loved it so much I went out and bough Mockingjay.   The Betrayal of the Blood Lily and Moon Sworn were also very good but were just a step behind Catching Fire.   Speaking of Mockingjay, […]

It’s Monday (9/6), What are you Reading?

This awesome meme is hosted by Shelia at Book Journey.  It’s Monday! What Are You Reading, is where blogger’s gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week.   It was more my typical reading week for me.  I really enjoyed Changeless by Gail Carriger.  Who knew regency England could be such fun!!  Another favorite is the current book I’m reading – Catching Fire. I still have about 150 pages left to finish, but I’m sure it will be a favorite for next week’s meme.    Sizzling Sixteen and Jewel of Atlantis were just so-so for me.  I could have taken them or left them.  For me there just wasn’t anything new or unique about them. The only think I didn’t get done was my Shrink my TBR book selection.  I was a bit behind with Jewel of Atlantis and wanted […]

Overall, I did really well this week.   I was able to finish the first book in my Shrink my TBR challenge and finish an ARC Tour that I needed to do get done and completed a book review for Stolen.  I was pleasantly surprised with the Spook Squad series by Keri Arthur.  It is one of her earlier works and I wasn’t sure what […]

It’s Monday (8/16), What are you Reading?

This awesome meme is hosted by Shelia at Book Journey.  It’s Monday! What Are You Reading, is where blogger’s gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. This was a pretty good week for me, considering my work schedule and all the summer activities that went on.  My favorite read of the week was defiantly The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.  It is the third book in the Millennium series that was written by Swedish author Stieg Larsson.  He died suddenly in 2004 leaving the series unfinished, but what he did write is deep, suspenseful, and fast paced.  Originally, Larsson envisioned ten books for the series and  it is a shame that we will never see the conclusion of his vision.  Although a draft of the fourth book was completed as well as outlines for the fifth and sixth.  At […]
