In her deliciously sexy debut, Cara Connelly gives a whole new meaning to crashing a wedding.
BEFORE THE WEDDING Tyrell Brown wanted to get the hell out of Houston and back to his ranch. Instead, he’s stuck on a flight to France for his best friend’s wedding. To top it off, he discovers he’s sharing a seat with Victoria Westin, the blue-eyed, stiletto-heeled lawyer who’s been a thorn in his side for months.
AT THE WEDDING Victoria can’t believe it! How can she be at the same wedding as this long, lead cowboy with a killer smile? So what if they shared a few in-flight cocktails, some serious flirting, and a near-miss at the mile-high club? She still can’t stand the man!
AFTER THE WEDDING The wedding disaster’s in the rearview, but the sizzle between these two is still red-hot. They tried to be on their best behavior in France, but back in the States all bets are off…
This contemporary romance/chick lit novel was a witty banter fun fest from start to finish. The chemistry between Ty and Vicki is irresistible and hard not to enjoy. However, there is depth and substance to these characters that was easy to connect to and understand.
Ty has been put through an emotional wringer with the death of his wife seven years ago. He hides it behind an easygoing cowboy persona, but the hurt remains and he has never moved on. Vicki is an attorney and is always doing what her mother wants and not following her dreams. Ty and Vicki meet at the court case for the death of Ty’s wife and are on opposite sides of the case. When they meet later on a plane on the way to a wedding (they each don’t know they are going to the same wedding) the sparks fly and you just know that this is going to be a steamy, witty and fun read.
Vicky will need to make some serious life choices and take a chance on living dreams. Ty has seriously screwed up with Vicky. He will need to man up to win her back and has to overcome his past demons to do so. Overall, I really enjoyed Connelly’s writing style. It flowed nicely and was easy to read. There is humor intermixed with emotional moments that will have you both chuckling and watery eyed at times. Tyrell and Victoria’s story was a great read and has me looking forward to the next in the series.
