Book Description:
When Keira becomes a widow, she realizes that the life she once had wasn’t normal after all. After her husband is brutally murdered, she is more than just alone but vulnerable to threats and tangled in a web of greed. Her decisions lead her into a corner, and safety is jeopardized.

Aiden, Caedmon Council member, has never failed when it comes to fulfilling the terms of his employment contract. When he is hired to protect an heiress, he doesn’t plan on her being the only woman to bring both challenge and purpose in his life. Without hesitation, he vows to keep the grieving Keira safe—even from himself.

Keira trusts Aiden unconditionally and finds joy whenever they are together, but can love transcend a tragedy? Aiden’s urge to protect her is just as great as his desire to claim her. Once the passion is unleashed and fueled by the need to have all of her, the wolf will accept nothing less than his mate.

Lynn’s Review

This book is part of a series but can stand alone.

Keira Ellis is a young widow.  Aiden Price is a retired bodyguard that has been sent to protect her.  It was interesting to see how seriously he takes his job when they first meet.  I also had to laugh on the beginning perceptions that Keira had of Aiden.

If you love to read a story where there’s at least one character you really hate, Ambrielle has written such a character and his name is Jonathan.  She also includes a mystery that if you don’t keep reading you won’t know how it ends.  Ambrielle also creates a very sexy way to get rid of migraines.

I hope you like this book enough that you will want to read the rest of the series.  Even though this could be read as a stand alone, I felt that I still wanted to read more about the Caedmon wolves.  And by the time I got to the end of this book, it left me wondering what’s going to happen next.  The good news is that coming this summer is book five of the series titled Wolf’s Strength.  If you like hot, sexy shapeshifting wolves this series is for you.  This is a book, that if you get caught up into the storyline like I did, you can finish in one day.  Happy Reading! (Reviewed by Lynn Reynolds from Romance Reader Enthusiast)
