Book Description:
Once upon a time, a spell went awry and Make Believe characters were cast into the ordinary world. And the results aren’t always happily ever after…

Everyone thinks fairy godmothers can do no wrong. But if not for a certain spell mis-cast by Lavender Seelie, Cinderella’s former fairy godmother, the Tales would not be stuck in the Here and Now. Fortunately for Lavender, she’s about to get a second chance at a happy ending…

The Refuge, a sanctuary for wayward Tales, seems like the perfect place for Lavender to start a new life—especially when she discovers an unexpected ally in Seth, the brooding werewolf who’s been typecast as a villain ever since his run in with Little Red Riding Hood. But when humans from nearby towns start turning up dead, their bodies mutilated with archaic Tale symbols, Lavender wonders if Seth’s deep sensuality has blinded her to the truth. And that distraction could put innocent lives in danger. Including her own…

Sherri’s Review:
Loved this second book in the Transplanted Fairy Tale Series! Seth Wolf had captured my attention in the “Red” and I instantly wanted to know his story and boy did it not disappoint.  Seth is everything you want in a man; but has been misunderstood and not had an easy life. When he meets Lavender Seelie you really know that these two are destined to be together.   I liked that both Seth and Lavender had loved and lost and were able to move beyond their pasts to create a future together.

What makes this series interesting to me is that SeRine doesn’t forget about her past characters, such as Red Hood and Nate Grimm. They are intricately woven into The Better to See You storyline where they are most needed without being gratuitous.  Along with the romance story is a parallel mystery of what is happening in the town of Refuge, a place where transplanted tales can live without the governance of the Fairy Management Agency (FMA). The going-ons is mysterious and we get a peep at some more of the terrific tales that reside there.  This terrific supporting cast of characters had me guessing to the end on who was responsible for the mystery and even then I didn’t totally guess who the villain was.

”The Better to See You” was a magical read that has me believing in fairy tales (especially the twisted, transplanted ones) and I cannot wait for the next in the series; Along Came a Spider which is Trish and Nick’s story.
