Book Description:
Enter the dark realm of Nocturna in Jeaniene Frost’s red hot tale, where blisteringly sexy Rafael dominates the demons of a lawless dimension and tries to help a beautiful young woman avenge her cousin’s disappearance.

Note: Originally appeared in the Haunted By Your Touch anthology.

Alisha’s Review:
Heroine Mara is on a quest to find out who is behind her cousin’s disappearance and bring him to justice. But when she crosses over into Nocturna, the supernatural Wild Wild West where anything goes, she finds her hand immediately full with Rafael, Nocturna’s sexy ruler who has only one thing on his mind: her. While fighting her conflicted feelings for Rafael, she discovers there is more than meets the eye in Nocturna and suddenly has to uncover a conspiracy that could destroy the realm’s inhabitants.

This book was so good I had to read it twice! Jeaniene Frost weaves this tale with fascinating detail and I found myself instantly sucked into Mara’s world. Our main character is a modern day warrior woman who uses vengeance as her motivation to scour Nocturna in search of answers for her missing cousin and ultimately save her own kind. I found myself holding my breath as she danced around Raphael’s advances while investigating…the tension between those two definitely kept my attention throughout the whole story. (By the way, Rafael’s passion for Mara is hot! Whew!) I loved learning about Nocturna’s supernatural creatures and their history as well. The story was a fast read, but written so well that I didn’t mind. I can only hope that Frost continues with this world of characters in the future so I can indulge more. This is a must read!

Note: For added enjoyment, Frost also includes a few chapters from Caged Warrior by Lindsey Piper.

  1. I’d heard something about this, but didn’t know it was out already. I love the Night Huntress World, but was a little hesitant about this ones. I may have to check it out after all!
