On February 27, Evernight Publishing released Uniform Fetish Manlove Edition, and it’s been climbing the charts ever since. Today we’re going to meet one of the stars from THE LAYOVER by Gale Stanley.
The Layover by Gale Stanley – Character Interview
Please welcome Captain Paul Miller.
Hi Paul. I have to say you look hot in that pilot’s uniform. Why do you think so many people are attracted to a uniform?
Good morning! About the uniform, I just don’t get it. Maybe it’s a control thing. Some uniforms represent power and if someone has a desire to be sexually controlled or disciplined… Well, you know what I mean.
Yes, I do. <fanning myself> Is that what first attracted Jamey—
No! Yes. Maybe. Anyway, it’s what’s under the uniform that’s important. I mean… <blushes>
<Changing the subject> Paul, can you tell us a little about the uniform? What are those stripes on your shirt?
I’m wearing a white uniform shirt with wings, and these things <points to his shoulder> are called epaulets or shoulder boards. There’re four stripes, signifying I’m a captain. The gold pattern on a captain’s hat is commonly referred to as “scrambled eggs” and you only see it on the captain’s hat.
Interesting. Did wearing a uniform have anything to do with you becoming a pilot?
Very little. Like most pilots, my fascination with aviation goes back to childhood. My dad took me to all the air shows and I grew up wanting to fly.
Well, I envy you. You have such a glamorous job. Traveling all around the world.
Hardly. <chuckling> My traveling consists of flying between Philadelphia and San Francisco. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. The view from 1,000 feet up is magical, and so is what’s waiting for me on the layovers.
That’s so romantic. Thank you so much for taking time from your busy schedule. And readers, here’s more about Paul’s story.
THE LAYOVER by Gale Stanley
Inside the cockpit, Captain Paul Miller is in control. On the ground, he feels adrift. His marriage is crumbling, and life is complicated.
Jamey Conley owns a café in the Frisco airport. He goes gaga over guys in uniform. When he meets Paul, sparks fly. Too bad his ideal man is married, and straight.
