Who’s Who in HER LONE WOLF (X-OPS 2) by Paige Tyler
HER LONE WOLF, Book Two in my action-packed paranormal/romantic-suspense X-OPS Series is here, so I thought I’d give you a primer on exactly Who’s Who!
Meet Clayne Buchanan, wolf shifter and special agent at the DCO. The last thing he wants is to get paired up withhis former partner and current FBI agent Danica Beckett. She gets under his skin in a way no one ever has and makes him want things he has no right to anymore. But when his boss sends him to help the feds catch a serial killer, he has no choice but to work with her. All he has to do is suffer through this case and he can be free of her for good. But when Clayne finds out why Danica left in the first place, everything he’s tried to bury comes roaring back-and there’s no way this wolf shifter is going to let her get away this time.
Meet FBI agent Danica Beckett. It took everything she had to walk away from Clayne Buchanan, the man she loved. But if she wants to save his life, she has to keep her distance. Now, with a killer on the loose and the stakes higher than ever before, the Department of Covert Ops is forcing her and Clayne together. And after seeing him again, she isn’t sure she can walk away from his this time.
Meet Tony Moretti, FBI agent and Danica Beckett’s current partner. He’s known Danica since their days at Quantico, so he recognizes when something’s bothering her. She never told him the whole story about why she and Clayne Buchanan broke up, and he never asked. But Clayne’s back, and Tony is determined to make sure his partner doesn’t get hurt again.
Meet Beth Moretti, Tony’s wife and Danica Beckett’s best friend. Like Tony, she has no idea why Danica and Clayne Buchanan broke up, but when the wolf shifter shows up, it’s obvious that Danica still has it bad for the guy, something which Beth doesn’t mind pointing out to her friend. She not only becomes Danica’s sound board, but becomes pivotal to the investigation her husband is working.
Meet Roger Carhart, FBI Agent in Charge of the murder investigation. He doesn’t like other agencies poaching on FBI territory. If anyone’s going to get the credit for taking down the Hunter, it’s going to be him.
Meet The Hunter, serial killer. One second he’s cold and calculating, the next he’s a wild animal ripping his victims to shreds.
